Hey David! Tim Welsh here. I'm a semi-old acquaintance/new friend of your mothers'. After chatting with her at the local Goodwill since forever we recently exchanged names, finally. Putting two timid people together in a room is like having two polite door-holders meet at a door. (Go ahead. No, YOU go ahead) Double up on politeness or timidity and you throw all hope out the window.
You are very fortunate to have such a sweet and intelligent mother. I am glad to have her as a friend. She is extremely proud of you and your brother, and I believe she has every reason to be.
Your mother did something very sweet and considerate for me recently, and I need some help returning her kind gesture. If you know of some little thing I could get her, something special to her, I would greatly appreciate it. It's not often people are as considerate of others as she is.
